Davies has written a book aimed squarely at professionals in the field, initially it seems a dry approach, the necessity of which one learns to appreciate in time. There is so much no available on "women's" complaints & herbal treatments, but so very little on the male counterpart.. There is so much good information in this book that people need to know! There were many times, while reading it, that I actually said "Wow!" out loud because I was so struck with truth that I had never heard before. We needed a bridge into the new millennium. Written in an easy-to-read style, this history of Baltimore's streetcars covers the entire period of operations from City Passenger in 1859 through close of operations in 1963. Unfortunately, many of the color photos (taken by the author while a student) have a yellow cast are so dark you can hardly see the details; a few are even out of focus.
